The location of Bhrigu Lake is about 6km from Gulaba which is a pictorial village about 22 kms from Manali.

Best Season to Visit

Starting from Mid May, till the month of October, trekking to Bhrigu Lake is absolutely allowed and travelers can plan accordingly. However the ideal time is before the month of June and after August since this is the monsoon time and there remains the probability of landslides in the region. It must also be noted that the temperature of this place during summers hovers around 20-25C in the daytime and falls to 5-7C at night. In winter the temperature gets lower with 10-15C around daytime and nearly 0 to -7C at night. Almost half a year the lake remains frozen, and travelers can enjoy the sight of snow even during the early summer time.

Day 1: Manali to Gulaba

Pick up at hotel Drive from Manali (6397 feet) to Gulaba (8.530 feet) – 22 km road drive in jeep or bus. Trek 40 minutes to camp at the Gulaba meadows.

Day 2 : Gulaba meadows to Rola Kholi

Trek from Gulaba meadows to Rola Kholi (12,565 feet approx.), – 7 km, 3 to 4 hour trek

Day 3: Rola Kholi to Pandu Ropa

Rola Kholi to Pandu Ropa (11,811 feet approx.) via Bhrigu Lake (14,009 feet approx.) – 14 km, 7 to 8 hour trek. Rola Kholi to Bhrigu Lake – 7 km – 3 to 4 hour trek. Bhrigu Lake to Pandu Ropa – 7 km, 3 to 4 hour downhill trek

Day 4 : Pandu Ropa to Vashisht

Pandu Ropa to Vashisht (6791 feet) – 8 km, 4 hour trek. Drive down from Vashisht to Manali. Board evening bus to Delhi from Manali.
